SC Moving

We used SC for a local move out of storage, on the second half of a move that was relatively sizeable. Our experience with them was great, from arrangement, to fine tuning details, and through the job itself. They were responsive, prompt, reasonably priced, attentive -- with our belongings and with our new home -- and friendly. Everything we wanted, and none of what we worried about. While we are in no hurry to move again, we would absolutely use them again!

I picked them with no prior knowledge other than myriad 5 star reviews and customer comments. We had the crew meet us at the homeowners, they were very polite, neatly dressed and spent time introducing themselves to us and the homeowner. Then they carefully began wrapping the shelves and removing the top part of the hutch. It was wrapped in plastic before the moving blanket was added. The same process was used on the bottom piece. The homeowner’s comment was where did you find this company! Our home is over a hundred years old and it isn’t easy to get this in, but they did. They reinstalled the hutch before leaving. If I could give them more than an A rating I would. Additionally their prices were reasonable, the owner’s interaction with me via email was timely, and I was able to pay the down payment through an online system. Highly recommend

SC Moving and its owner, Christopher Ian, and his crew, is the best moving experience I've ever had! And my husband and I have moved nine times across and around the country! Chris is so careful, and is wonderful to his staff. He moved our family from South Portland to Old Orchard Beach six years ago. He has been the moving company for the Portland Symphony. I learned about him and his company through one of the musicians in the Portland Symphony who has been very impressed with his work. His work ethic is outstanding, and his attention to his customers' requests and extra items is terrific. His prices are very fair, and he is always on time, prepared for all aspects of the move, kind and courteous to everyone.

Chris was responsive from the get go, providing a written estimate and following up prior to the move to confirm the time. The crew actually arrived early, was personable and did an efficient and professional job of wrapping furniture in plastic, putting mattresses in protective bags, and carefully carrying furniture down stairs. Best of all, the cost of the job was lower than Chris had quoted. I also had called another moving company and Chris' original estimate was lower by several hundred dollars. As a Realtor with many client moves, I will definitely recommend Chris and his crew again.

Chris and crew were great. Professional, neat and clean staff and truck. It was a great experience. They even moved another date to accommodate our closing timeline.

SC Moving was FABULOUS! They are professional, knowledgeable, courteous, polite, patient, careful, and super friendly! I plan to use them again (as I know I will have an upcoming move again soon). I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone. I was able to trust them with my belongings - they wrapped and padded very well and packed/unpacked the truck perfectly. The communication both before the move and during was great. The whole team was patient with my questions and me! I really can't say enough about how wonderful this moving experience was (and no one actually enjoys moving...so the fact that I DID just shows how fantastic SC Moving is!). They were on time, worked well together as a team, and got the job done just right!

Our experience was excellent! Chris and his crew were on time, and every single guy was courteous and friendly. They worked hard all day and Chris was an effective supervisor. They took great care to protect our belongings with blankets, cardboard, and plastic wrap. They put in a LONG day and were just as cheerful and professional at the end as at the beginning. They even loved our dog, and she loved them back! Prior to the move, Chris took the time to come and look at the size and scope of the move. Chris, Shawna and the entire team were fantastic. They all worked diligently, took care with our belongings and were so accommodating. Even though it was a very difficult move from a big house, appliances and large pieces of furniture, everyone remained upbeat and polite. Due to closing times in two different states, we moved out of Maine on Thursday and the contents remained on the truck until Saturday, which is reflected in the price. I can't say enough about SC Moving and would highly recommend.
